Violins (:

Today we visited the Ashmolean museum  and we found a lot of interesting things about  different cultures, it is like an "art and culture" museum. One part of the museum is dedicated to the musical instruments so we are going to talk about the violins and how  they are made.
First of all these have existed since the most ancient age, but the shape as a true violin began in the 16th Century, they are made of wood, like maple, spruce, ebony and boxwood.
Size and shapes of violin:
All the parts in a violin have different sizes, because in the pegbox we can find come structures like curves and spiral, also the neck of the violin is straight and has some horizontal lines; the base of this have 2 curves one in the bottom and the other on the top.



We like so much this visit, because we found very interesting all the things that this have like violins or maybe the chinese culture, indian culture, etc. To finalize it, we recommend you to visit this museum, because you are going to learn a lot.
