Visit the Ashmolean Museum

Today we went to the Ashmolean Museum and we had to choose an object that was interesting for us and describe its appearance, shape and a little bit of its story. We choose the "Odda Stone". This object has a rectangular shape and a text written in latin. We found it interesting because it is more than a thousand years old and it is in honour of the Holy Trinity for the soul of his brother Aelfric. This stone was founded in 1675 and the experts think it was made in the 1056 in England.
This dedication was a permanent record commemorating the patronage of Earl Odda of his brother.
